We pre-load a safety-protocol script you write (988 / Crisis Text Line / your on-call number / nearest psychiatric ER for your zip). When a caller's words match crisis triggers — suicidal ideation, self-harm, acute psychiatric crisis — Voipy reads that script verbatim, immediately pages your on-call clinician via SMS, and stays on the line until the caller is connected.
Will it disclose anything that breaches confidentiality?
Voipy never confirms whether a caller is a current client to a third party — even spouse, parent, or police — without an explicit consent-on-file flag in your portal. The default is the same posture a HIPAA-trained human receptionist would take: take a message, do not confirm or deny client status.
Can it handle telehealth-specific intake?
Yes — telehealth-vs-in-person preference is part of the intake script, and bookings can route to different calendars depending on the modality. Telehealth-only practices skip the in-person pathway entirely.
