Is there really a 14-day free trial?
Yes. We collect a card at signup for frictionless conversion, but we don't charge it until day 15. Cancel before then and it's free.
What counts as a "resident" or a "provider"?
Shield counts one resident per person on your protected-caller list — you can add/remove anytime. Receptionist counts providers by distinct voicemail inbox / booking calendar — not by staff headcount.
Can I switch between monthly and annual mid-subscription?
Yes. From the billing portal, choose Update plan → select annual. Stripe prorates immediately; you get a credit for the unused monthly portion.
What if I need more than the plan limits?
Enterprise scales to unlimited residents / multi-location providers with SSO. For non-standard setups (call centers, compliance-heavy industries), email sales@voipy.app.
Do you offer non-profit discounts?
Yes — 20% off any Shield plan for 501(c)(3) senior-living non-profits. Email proof of status to sales@voipy.app.
Is there a setup fee or onboarding cost?
No. Every plan is self-serve through Stripe Checkout — no setup fees, no implementation contracts, no onboarding-call gating. The 14-day trial gives you a real DID and full feature access. Security & compliance posture is documented up-front so procurement can review without a sales call.
What about HIPAA — is there a Business Associate Agreement?
Yes. Practice and Enterprise tiers (Receptionist) and Pro and Enterprise tiers (Shield) include a BAA. Request one via support@voipy.app; we counter-sign your standard form or use ours, typically within 5 business days. Sub-processor list and data-handling specifics are on /security.
What happens to my call data if I cancel?
Your account stays read-only for 90 days post-cancel so you can export transcripts, recordings, and call summaries. After 90 days the data is purged from primary stores within 30 days; backup-tape rotation may extend by up to 90 more days for disaster-recovery purposes. HIPAA-required PHI access logs persist for 6 years per federal rule even after deletion.
Are calls billed by minute or by call?
Neither. Voipy is flat per-plan with unlimited inbound calls included on every tier. Talk-time and call count don't affect your bill. The only volume-based pricing is the Shield resident count and the Receptionist provider count, and both are easy to adjust from the portal.

Do you have a money-back guarantee after the 14-day trial?
The 14-day trial means you only pay starting day 15 — that's the guarantee. Beyond day 15 we don't offer prorated refunds (no contracts to break either), but you can cancel anytime from the billing portal and you won't be charged for the next cycle. Most cancellation requests we see in practice are refunded as a courtesy when they happen within the first 7 days post-charge.
